ok this song is the flavour of the month for me and my date Mr C, I introduced it to him and now he loves it.. its one of the tracks he has playing over and over in his shiny BMW whenever he takes me out.. We’ve had some really good times together lately, mainly going for drives, to the beach, parties, and movies.. too cozy!! We met quite by “accident” when I rocked up to Bondi one Sunday evening a few months ago for some solitude reflection time, (well it was going to be for some solitude time, but someone had other plans for me lol) instead I ended up with my coat stuck in my car door and i had locked the keys in.. he and his friend Mark were my knights in shining armour.. after a few hours of freezing to death they called the nrma and things were sweet.. lol and we have become unseperable since then.. he never fails to remind me of how we met.. whenever we end up at Bondi.. haha.. he is a sweetee thou..
So this song is our current song.. stone sours through the glass.. how do you feel that is the question? but i forgot you dont expect an easy answer.. so when your on the outside looking in describing what you see.. remember what your staring at is me

3 doors down holds fond and precious memories for me. Its a track that me and my bestest gf love. I had it playing on my SNS rite from the beginning of my time online (2006) and when we met and fell into deep friendship, we decided that here without you was our song. Shes from the UK and weve been thru alot together, even falling out, but our strong commitment always sees us thru. I think I cannot live without her to be honest. She is my rock, and has been there for me, and listened to be ramble, carry on, bitch, whine, laugh, cry, scream, and not judging me, always accepting me. We go deep and here without you is the song we met by. Funny two people can make a connection thru music like that, but thats what we did. It was the common love of music and tastes that drew us together, and holds us together. I also love the Jay-Z remix of this track too, but today I wanna share the original 3 doors down version. So 3 doors down is dedicated to our wonderful friendship.
Im so glad the original clip of this was at you tube. Listen in and enjoy!

Can I get your hand to write on??.. The red hot chili peppers are another band that I was introduced to by my dear online mentor, I had always loved their music, but hearing that he loved them just made me rediscover them all over again. Its hard to pick with RHCP, like it is with all bands i like, all their tracks are awesum, in particular under the bridge, scar tissue, californication, snow, all around the world, but I think I will share zepher song today. I went to see them live last year, on April 19th at the syd acer arena, and they rocked the house. some of the oldies werent sung, but their elecrifying presence made up for that. Yes, I will always tie my mentor to RHCP, he has been so good with me, becoming dear friends that we still are today. I credit him for my early knowledge and being so patient with me, and I feel if it wasnt for him, I wouldnt be doing half the things im doing today online. He has helped me immensely. My love for him is forever.
I hope you enjoy the zepher song, I must add too, this is a song I was thinking about as I went off to see them in concert, with a particular someone that had pulled my heart strings that same day. So it holds two special meanings for me. Enjoy!

OMG what can I tell you about the power lyrics and clip of this track- live with me.. It will live on for quite some time inside me. Inspired my massive Attack by my dear online mentor of the time 2 years ago (2006) I fell completely head over heels with massive attacks brilliant version of live with me. I would get to play and replay it again and again, never tiring of it, and in fact, the more I heard it the more it became too hard not to call it a fave. It resurfaced as a fave again last year, under extremely confusing, emotional instances, but, however bittersweet those experiences were, this melancholic song lived on. I actually cried when I first heard it. Im sure once you get to see the clip, you will feel a stirring of strong emos too. Massive Attack for me have many songs that are too hard to choose a fave from, like Teardrop, Angel, Butterfly Caught, Unfinished Symphony, but, this song i think does it. It tells the tale of a woman intoxicated, that she cant see reality and feel the love anymore, no matter what words she hears, she will forever be drowning in her sorrows and not give love a chance, well thats my interpretation of it, anyways.
Do listen to it, and make up your own minds. I will forever be grateful to my mentor for introducing me to Massive Attack. I just love em to death. and I think you will too. enjoy.. im so glad also that i happened to find the original clip.. so here it is in all its glory..

When I was a student in primary school, I had a crush on my neighbour named Jack, and when I first heard jumping jack flash for the first time, I decided that was my song to tie my feelings of childhood love to. It became our song, even though it felt like he didnt know I existed, still it was ours. I was the silly kid to him, the kid that would become a wild tomboy, and the girl that would silently swoon if he so much looked my way. haha funny to say that now, but he was my bestest friend then, and we did alot together with each others families. I went on a sort of date with him with my sis and mom (ok ok you cant really call it a date if your mom comes along, but it felt like it at the time LOL) into town to watch Jaws, which was the film everyone was talking about. We use to go swimming, play at the park, and I even gathered up the courage one day to tell him that I liked him, the look on his face that day was priceless. Ahhh such sweet memories, frozen in the etches of my mind forever. I will always like that guy. I guess he was my first love.
Jumping jack flash sure is a classic, who can forget the kool lyrics? I was born in a cross fire hurricane.. well its alrite now, in fact its a gas, well its alrite, jumping jack flash, its a GAS GAS GAS.. woo hoo.. this was an excellente remastered you tube vid i found, i hope you enjoy it too..

Coldplay, one of my very best fave bands. I have loved them from the ealy tracks, like Yellow. But sparks have made its way into a special place in my collection and heart. Inspired by the film The Wedding Crashes, I just loved that scene where Owen was creapin around the house, not able to get the girl outta his head. AWWWWW that scene made me melt. and to know she was feeling the same way too, but the obstacles were in the way. That was then, and this is now. This track found its way into my life again earlier this year after I was shattered to learn someone I cared for had let me down. I loved him and all I got in return was lies, and manipulation. Not very nice I know, but it did prompt me to make a you Tube vid of my feelings, (which im real sorry I cant direct you too coz UT shut me down) (no it wasnt erotic or violent either) In a way im so glad that I did make that vid, coz it forced me to realise just how silly i was, to chase someone I didnt even know. Nevertheless, to cut a very long boring story short, I got over it, and now have replaced the emos attached to that experience with another song you will find on my playlist here and thats I dont Care by apocalyptica. Funny how emos can run their course, and then die, however, my love of that scene in the wedding crashes will be forever etched in my head.
I found this awesum you tube vid of Sparks, capturing some beautiful moments.. I hope you to enjoy this..

RAVE ON FOREVER! This track is a classic hardcore fave from the early 90’s. I just love it to death. It reminds me of all the times we use to end up in the wilderness in the outskirts of syd dancing till we dropped, speeding and whatever else. The good ol days. I also have fond memories of driving with the windows down and obsession in the cd player at full blast enjoying nights out with my hot lover at the time, we use to go play pool, get stoned, walk around the city, and swim naked in the summer at Lady Jane. We were so hardcore obsessed and only listened to the fast beat tempos. Ultrasonic a duo from Scotland, attempted a comeback recently, but have disappeared again, I dont know whats become of them. Nevertheless, Obsession will continue to live on in my heart as a fave track we had great times with. Perhaps you too had a obsession with hardcore, and if you did, you most certainly remembered this track. I hope you enjoy!
There is absolutely no vids of them performing this live, so I had to stick with an album cover, still you get to hear it and thats what counts, let it get into your head.

Audioslave are one of my current fave rock bands. Springing to my attention from the movie Collateral with Tom Cruise, I have loved them since. Shadow on the Sun was an awesum track in that film and made the movie spectacular. In the time since then, ive had the opportunity to hear more fab audioslave tracks. I particulary favour Be Yourself because thats who im learning to be rite now. Myself. No more and no less. Its songs like this I spin first thing in the morn to get me motivated and moving. I dont drink any coffee and never have, so I use music to wake me up. I am the highway is another awesum audioslave track, but today I think I will stick with be yourself. Audioslave have split up now ive learnt thx to last FM, where ive favoured most of their music and they play happily in my playlist. Yes, I think audioslave are here to stay in my collection. I hope you get to enjoy be yourself too. I have selected a live version of be yourself from you tube.
BTW, if you also enjoy rock, pls add yoursleves to my friends list at last FM, the koolest place to rok!! Links are to the right in the sidebar under “links” Enjoy!!

OMG David Bowie was one of fave childhood “heroes”. I was quite the rebellious teen at school and home, and at times became quite uncontrollable. David Bowie, and Pink Floyd were two of my fave when I entered high school. along with the Sex Pistols. But this track Ashes to Ashes for me holds some very dear memories. I was in love for the first time to a guy that didnt want me and I was so obsessed. I would sneak outta the house after dark to meet him, get stoned and listen to Bowie. I thought I was so tough and invincible, and David Bowie was always there to reinforce that in me. I loved his style, his glam rock look and his multiple characters. Major Tom is who he sings about in ashes to ashes, a fallen junkie, who is supposedly bad company. I love all David Bowie tracks, but its this one that does it for me. nevertheless to say, I didnt get the guy in the end, but have caught up with him recently, and I maybe be a shallow bitch when I say this but yukky, he has changed so much, I hardly recognised him. Still it was nice to catch up and reminise. I hope you also enjoy ashes to ashes.
